Searching riverbanks is an increasingly important area for rescue teams. This weekend many of the Moffat Mountain Rescue Team have undertaken the Swiftwater First Responder Course. This accredited training programme will ensure all team members are fully competent in and around water.
The team travelled across to Broughton to provide safety cover for the Broughton Heights Hill Race. The race went well and the only injuries suffered were blisters on the feet of a couple of runners.
