Tinto Callout

Sun, 6th Sep 2020

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s callout at the Crawick Multiverse and just at the end of a hard day’s training in the Moffat Hills, Police Scotland requested the assistance of the team to help rescue a lady with an ankle injury on Tinto.

The Scottish Ambulance Service were also in attendance and Rescue 199, a helicopter from Prestwick, was also called to the scene.

The team made their way onto the hill just as the helicopter arrived and fortunately for the team the helicopter was able to winch the casualty from her location and transport her to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Please share our post to let folk know more about the team. Moffat Mountain Rescue team are all volunteers and are ready 24 hours a day 7 days a week to help anyone in a rural or mountainous environment in the eastern side of Dumfries and Galloway
